Abstract:

The purpose of this chapter is to suggest relationships

between epistemologies in order to think about the concept of

means, open to an exponential complexity of the triadic matrix

(sign, technique, technology and the socio-symbolic), situating

them in the intersection of perspectives of accesses, uses, prac-

tices and appropriations of the means, but surpassed by the

processes emerging in circuits, environments, ambiences that

found new questions and problems of investigation. This propo-

sition is developed in three arguments: a) on the recovery of the

relations of the means as a triadic, matrix-like concept, bringing

together the dimensions of the sign, techno-technology and the

socio-symbolic; b) on the location of historical appropriations of

the means by contemporary (economic, political and cultural)

markets, deconstructing, in this appropriation, the possibilities

of appropriation by the community, in tension with social uses

and practices; c) on the circulation as a social game, in which

institutions and actors constitute circuits, environments and

ambiences that transcend the logic of means, uses, practices and

appropriations.

Keywords:

means, dispositfs, uses, practices, appropriations,

circuits, circulation.

rial). As apropriações se referemà linguagem. Entretanto, Proulx
