Abstract
: In the technologically mediated social interactions, it
is possible to perceive mediatized logics in the religious practic-
es of society. In this article, I will reflect on the notion of religious
uses and appropriations of socio-digital networks, i.e., the rela-
tionship between digital technologies of communication and
the symbolic practices of religious groups. Then, I will analyze,
in a specific social digital network – Facebook –, the presence
of the institutional Church and of individual and collective us-
ers in three “pages” explicitly related to Catholicism, describing
their practices from and about Catholicism. Then, I will exam-
ine the networked religious experimentation and new practic-
es of meaning by individuals and social groups, via reconnec-
tions. In conclusion, it is stated that, in socio-digital networks
and in their unceasing communicational flow of meanings, the
“Catholic” manifests itself as a complex social construction on
the basis of the various poles of communicational circulation,
which are constituted as such in their circulatory action in con-
nectial dispositives.

Nesses ambientes, a vida social encon-
