típica do capitalismo financeiro.

ABSTRACT
: In this chapter, the goal is to reflect on how this spe-
cific medium – technology – can be thought of in the perspec-
tive of the epistemologies of mediatization in tension with the
mode of production of capital. The central issues addressed here
are: is there a contradiction between the social semiosis that is
installed in the processes of mediatization and the semiosis of
capital valuetion processes? To what extent does the second
actuate valuetion as a symmetric exchange between values? Or,
on the contrary, is there an acceleration of irreversible gaps in
the processes of sense inherent in contemporary media circula-
tion? We resume the concepts of forms of production and ways
of valuing meaning as more appropriate to think of the tension
between mediatization and the capitalist mode of production
- in which the disruption inherent in mediated social semiosis
breaks with the limits tempted by the regulations and controls
typical of media systems in digital network, contemporary. Yet,
we conclude that contemporaneous disruptions, agenciated by
the media-indicium paradigm, can be functional to the dereal-
ization of capital typical of financial capitalism.

O percurso
